WHY DID PITBULL DISSES LIL WAYNE ON 'HARLEM SHAKE' REMIX

Pitbull has thrown a couple of jabs towards Lil Wayne for dissing his hometown team Miami Heat. As previously reported, Wayne claimed that the Miami Heat and the NBA had him banned from several events during All-Star weekend and he claimed that he had sex with Chris Bosh's wife.

Over Baauer's "Harlem Shake," Pitbull rapped, "I'm self-made, I'm self-paid / I grew up with no daddy, I'm from Miami-Dade. It's a deposition / Watch what you speak / Who's the definition of Miami? Me / I move cultures, don't believe me? / Watch and see."

  • He continued,"You got money, yeah that's sweet / But we all know Slim and Baby really eat / You talk Miami, yes you talkin' Heat / Moral of the story, don't sh*t where you eat," he raps.

GUNPLAY DODGES LIFE SENTENCE

Gunplay has dodged a life sentence in jail for robbing his accountant at gunpoint -- although there was video evidence of the incident. Gunplay was accused of pulling a gun on Turron Woodsideand stealing a cell phone and gold chain during an incident last fall. The rapper was charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault.

According to TMZ, The Miami Dade State Attorney's office said that the victim refuses to cooperate with the authorities. They said, "Video alone is not enough to convict an individual of a crime beyond a reasonable doubt. Although the armed robbery is captured on the victim's surveillance system, the victim, Turron Woodside, is uncooperative of the prosecution of this defendant Richard Morales [Gunplay]."

  • Officials say that they need Woodside to confirm the footage so that they can use it as evidence against Gunplay. He was subpoenaed, but prosecutors were unable to find him in order to serve him. Without Woodside's testimony, prosecutors were forced to drop the charges.
