T.I. RELEASES DISS TRACK: T.I. recently opened up about the diss song, "Addresses," from his forthcoming album, Trouble Man. Though the rapper wouldn't specifically name who the song was aimed at, he did say he was sure a lot of rappers would think it was about them.

MEEK MILL DISSES CASSIDY'S NEW SONG: Meek Mill recently dissed Cassidy's new song, "Condom Style." He said via Instagram, "Go 2 rapradar.com this is the worst song in the history of rapping . . . this gotta b a joke! Google #condomstyle." So far Mill's Instagram has 15,700 likes.

FUTURE ANNOUNCES NEW MIXTAPE RELEASE DATE: Future will release his new mixtape, The Movie, on January 13th.

TRINIDAD JAMES ON SIGNING WITH DEF JAM RECORDS: Trinidad James recently shared his thoughts on his new Def Jam deal. He Power 106 FM, "I mean, I don't really celebrate things like this . . . I just thank God for it and keep moving . . . I was already griding and working, and doing my thing. Just in general . . . this is just adding more feel to the feeling I already had."

KENDRICK LAMAR NAMES HIS ALBUM OF THE YEAR: Kendrick Lamar is giving props to Nas. He said the rap veteran had the album of the year. Lamar told Rap-Up.com, "Nas, yup, yup, Life Is Good. Crazy album!"


USHER SUFFERS LEGAL SETBACK IN CUSTODY CASE

Earlier this year, R&B singer Usher scored a legal victory when a judge granted him primary custody of his two sons. His ex-wife, Tameka Foster Raymond, vowed to continue the legal battle because she maintained Usher's legal team had a special relationship with the judge because their firm held a fundraiser for her re-election campaign a few years ago. While those accusations were never formally substantiated, it appears Foster Raymond's legal team was able to force the judge to step down.

  • Straightfromthea.com reports that Judge Bensonetta Tipton-Lanehas stepped down from the case and it has been re-assigned to a new judge who may decide to review all of the previous rulings in the case.
  • An investigation was allegedly launched into the relationship between the judge and Usher's legal team. When Foster Raymond's attorney, Lisa West, recently filed a motion asking the judge to turnover some unspecified emails, Tipton-Lane made the decision to recuse herself from the case.

CASSIE RELEASES 'END OF THE LINE' VIDEO: R&B singer Cassie has been more famous over the past couple of years for being Diddy's girlfriend than being a singer, but now she's ready to get back to work with her new video, "End of the Line." The song is from her forthcoming mixtape, Rock-A-Bye Baby.

MIKE POSNER RECORDS TRIBUTE TO SHOOTING VICTIMS: Singer Mike Posner recently penned a song to honor the Connecticut shooting victims titled, "Heaven." He explained, "I wanted to do something for the victims' families. I wrote this song because I didn't know what else to do . . . Today makes no sense . . . God has blessed me with this gift and it felt wrong not to share it. I hope this song finds its way to proper ears."



TREY SONGZ GETS IN TROUBLE FOR MAKING IT RAIN

R&B singer Trey Songz, whose real name is Tremaine Neverson, will be in a New York City courtroom in February to deal with a misdemeanor assault charge stemming from an incident which occurred last August. Songz is in hot water for allegedly throwing a stack at money at a young woman during an album release party in Queens.

  • According to the criminal complaint, "Tremaine Neverson, did throw a sum of United States currency at the complainant and said sum of United States currency struck the complainant's left eye causing substantial pain to her left eye."
  • It's unclear if the woman was in fact a stripper but she was able to get an order of protection against the singer last month.
