EVELYN LOZADA AND CHAD JOHNSON DIVORCE AFTER 40 DAYS OF MARRIAGE

Although most people didn't think Evelyn Lozada and Chad Johnson's marriage was going to last -- they at least thought they would have a longer marriage than Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. On August 14th -- Evelyn filed for divorce from Chad after only 40 days of marriage. The two got married in St. Maarten on July 4th. On August 11th, Chad was arrested and charged for battery for allegedly head-butting Evelyn over an argument over a box of condoms. After the incident, their reality show Ev & Ocho -- was cancelled and Chad was dropped from the Miami Dolphins.

When the story broke, Chad initially said that Evelyn got mad at him and head-butted him. In a statement, Evelyn said, "I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me, it is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles. Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well."

Chad released his own statement, saying, "I would like to apologize to everyone for the recent events that have occurred. I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never say anything bad about her because I truly love her to death."

In September, Chad struck a plea deal -- agreeing to be placed on probation and complete anger management counseling in exchange for a guilty or no contest plea. He also agreed to a no-contact order that would block him from talking to Evelyn. Under the deal, Chad escaped jail time.

• Evelyn later appeared on Iyanla Fix My Life, where she admitted that this wasn't the first time that Chad was abusive towards her.
• Shortly after Evelyn started speaking about the incident publicly, Chad publicly shared that he wanted Evelyn back. He got a tattoo of Evelyn's face on his leg. He also refused to sign the divorce papers, but finally signed on the dotted line on September 14th -- one month after Evelyn filed. They were officially divorced on September 20th.

KIMYE!

Although Kanye West and Kim Kardashian went public with their relationship in April, rumors were swirling as early as January that the two were seeing each other. In fact, in January, Kanye's ex -- and Wiz Khalifa's current boo Amber Rose told Star Magazine that Kim was one of the reasons that she and Kanye broke up. She claimed that she had proof that the two were sleeping together while she was with Kanye. She also claimed that that is the reason she and Reggie Bush hooked up -- to get back at Kim and Kanye!

Amber told TMZ.com , ["I have solid proof, I just dont wanna take it there. If her fans wanna believe her, my fans wanna believe me, then that's fine. I'm not trying to take it to the next level, because I can really embarrass her and prove everybody wrong and I'm not about doing that. When I said that in the interview, it was not intentional, it wasn't to hurt anyone's feelings, it was something that I had to get off of my chest and I did. And people that know me, they know that I am not a liar and not out for publicity. I told the truth. I'm not gonna throw her under the bus again, she's already down and I pretty much kicked her while she was down already and I feel bad about that, but that was just something that I had to get off of my chest. Kanye and Kim were first spotted together at his fashion show during Paris Fashion week back in March. Then in April, the two officially went public and were spotted going out on dates in New York City. At the time, Kim claimed that it was nothing serious and they were just seeing where things go. That same month, Ye released "Way Too Cold", where he admitted his love for Kim.

• As the months went by, KimYe became inseparable -- Kanye even appeared on several episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The rapper has even been credited for changing up Kim's fashion style.
• Although she was initially quiet about he relationship with Kanye, Kim slowly but surely started opening up about her love. In August, She told Oprah about her relationship with Kanye, saying, ["Before I used to, all my boyfriends were younger, I always dated five years younger, my whole thing was completely different. And now I love that I'm with someone a couple years older than me. • Throughout Kim and Kanye's relationship, there were rumors that Kim was trying to get in good with Jay-Z and Beyonce-- which she totally denied. Rumors swirled that Beyonce and Jay wanted nothing to do with Kim.
• Most recently, reports say that these two are definitely love and are talking marriage and babies. By the way -- Kim is still legally married to Kris Humphries!

FRANK OCEAN COMES OUT

The biggest story of the summer was undoubtedly, Frank Ocean coming out of the closet. The Odd-Future singer/songwriter wrote his infamous open letter in December, but posted it on his Tumblr page during the 4th of July Holiday weekend. In the letter he wrote,

"4 summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19 years old. He was too. We spent that summer, and the summer after, together. Everyday almost."

He continued, "Sleep I would often share with him. By the time I realized I was in love, it was malignant. It was hopeless. There was no escaping, no negotiating to the women I had been with, the ones I cared for and thought I was in love with." He then concluded with, "I don't have any secrets I need kept anymore. Thanks. To my first love, I'm grateful for you."

After the letter was released, the spotlight was definitely on Frank. His debut album channel ORANGE was released one week earlier than its planned release date. He also performed at the VMA's for the first time in August. Many speculated that Frank wasn't really gay or bi, and he released the letter for publicity.

• Weeks after the letter was posted, in an interview with The Guardian, Frank revealed why he wrote the letter, saying that his songwriting was giving away clues about his sexuality.
• In a recent interview with Complex, Frank refused to confirm that he was bi-sexual. When asked, he said, "You can move to the next question. I'll respectfully say that life is dynamic and comes along with dynamic experiences, and the same sentiment that I have towards genres of music, I have towards a lot of labels and boxes and sh*t."
• He also revealed that he "cried like a baby" when he posted the letter.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS PLAYER JOVAN BELCHER KILLS HIS GIRLFRIEND, THEN HIMSELF

On December 1st, Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher reportedly shot and killed his 22-year-old girlfriend Kasandra Perkins and then drove to the Chiefs stadium and killed himself. Although this story is still developing, reports say that the two had been arguing the night before. The next morning, according to the Kansas City Star, after shooting her in their master bedroom, he told her he was sorry and kissed her on the forehead. His mother was in the kitchen when the shots ran off.

Belcher and Kasandra reportedly had a troubled relationship. Belcher's mother moved in to try to help the couple with their issues and help raise her granddaughter. The Chiefs also offered the couple counseling and support.

• The NY Post also reported that the Belcher had dinner with another woman named Brittni Glassthe night before he killed Kasandra.
• Jovan and Kasandra had just had a daughter in September. Belcher's mother reportedly has custody of the baby.
