The war of words between New
  York
rappers Fredro Starr and DMX just intensified with the one-time Ruff Ryders leader now lashing back at him and questioning Starr's
street credibility.

Responding to recent disses shot his way by Starr, X simply downplayed them and poked
fun at the rapper's stature.

DMX is returning fire
in his war with Onyx rapper Fredro Starr -- telling TMZ, he ain't one bit
afraid of the guy's death threats ... claiming, Starr's "a midget"
who "can't even reach my knee." X tells us, "I am not worried
about him ... All he is is a sitcom Moesha gangsta. He should just stick to
being a reality gangsta cause that's about all he's good for." (FYI, Starr
appeared on the show "Moesha" back in the 90s.) X is blowing off the
drama ... claiming Starr "is just trying to use me to get back in the
music scene." (TMZ)

Late last week, Starr publicly addressed where his
problems with X stem from.

"Right now we're
going to clear the whole DMX beef or whatever y'all want to call it, situation,
whatever it is," Fredro said in a video. "First of all, your man on
[Power 105.1's] the 'Breakfast Club' trying to make me look like a sucker for
love type of dude and it ain't nothing like that. Whatever he talking about happened
ten years ago. First of all. Everybody laughing, everybody thinks it's a joke
up there but when my name came up in the conversation, I didn't take it as a
joke. That's the reason why there's a situation." (Forbez DVD)

Starr then went on to say X got a woman pregnant he
introduced him to.

"Ten years ago, I
went to a premiere, DMX premiere, he called me, 'Yo, come to the premiere.' I
went to the premiere with the shorty, with a groupie, with a jump-off, I gave
him the jump-off. I gave him, like, this is you, son. Make a long story short,
he got her pregnant. I ain't got nothing to do with that. But why is my name
coming up in the conversation in the radio, using my name to catch laughs off?
It ain't nothing like that." (Forbez DVD)

Fredro's freestyle diss popped up on music blogs earlier in the week.

"A lot of n*ggas
think they Ironmen, they lying men," Fredro raps. "Just roll me in
the lion's den/Talking about real hip-hop/I am him/A lot of haters want the
fire to end, don't want the fire to wind/But I've got the fire and desire to
win/Won't stop until I cop a f*cking flying Benz/This n*gga X talking sh*t
right/If he ever try it again/Huh, he be in front of the firing pen/If his crew
front, be a lot of dying men/At the funeral, family and crying friends/Let's
get back to money/We go together like tire and rims/You wanna ball, we can go
as high as the rim/So much weed smoke, time to call the fire men/We got the
cocaine, n*gga, flying in/Any way you want it, any way you need it, my n*ggas
be supplying them/When the new J's came out, I was buying ten..." (16 Bars W/ Firestarr)
